Ron

My name is Ron Berreth
I was born in Eureka, SD
I live in the Boyds Creek area of Sevier County
I served four years in the United States Navy. During my time in the Navy, I was an electrician stationed aboard the USS Glacier AGB4. I made two Operation Deep Freeze cruises to Little America in the Antarctic.
I started Volunteering in March 2005. I help out with guided tours and enjoy talking to those who have served during war time.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy building and flying radio controlled airplanes and helicopters, riding motorcycles, drawing, glass engraving, and calligraphy.

My name is Don Campbell
I was born in Hamilton, OH
I live in Jefferson City, TN
I served twenty-one years in the United States Air Force. During my time as a pilot in the Air Force, I’ve flown the T-34, T-28, T-33, KC-97, and the KC-135. I flew 110 combat missions in Vietnam as an F-100 fighter pilot (1969).
I started Volunteering in August 2011. I help out with guided tours, aircraft clean-up and working on the aircraft ramp during fly-ins and special events.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy Motorsports, traveling, reading and Smokies baseball.

 

 

Jerry

My name is Jerry Hixson
I was born in Pitman Center, TN
I live in Strawberry Plains, TN
I served 3 years (l957-1960) in the United States Army. During my time in the Army, I was with the 4th Armoured Division. I spent 2 years in Germany as a Sp5 helicopter mechanic.
I started Volunteering in January 2013. I help out with guided tours, working on the aircraft ramp during fly-ins and special events. I like spending time with guests and hearing their stories.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy wood working, yard work, gardening and eating my son-in-laws grilled steaks.

My name is Robert Slattery
I was born in Cloquet, MN
I live in Sevierville, TN
I served in the United States Army Armored Infantry from 1951-1953; served in the Tennessee Air National Guard from 1954-1958 and graduated from OCS in 1959.
I started Volunteering in January 2013. I help out with guided tours, group tours and special events.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy flying remote control aircraft and touring the countryside on my motorcycle.

I was born in Youngstown, OH
I live in Ringgold, GA
I started Volunteering in April 2003. I help out with building displays, facility maintenance and working on the aircraft ramp during fly-ins and special events.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy traveling, landscaping, tractor work, felling and cutting trees and helping others with disaster clean-up.

I live in Chatsworth, GA
I started Volunteering in April 2006. I help out with building displays and working on the aircraft ramp during fly-ins and special events.

I was born in Salem, OH
I live in Ringgold, GA
I started Volunteering in April 2003. I help out in the Flying Spirit Gift Gallery and assist with a variety of behind the scenes preparations during fly-ins and special events.
Outside of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I enjoy traveling, counted cross stitch and reading.
