Aircraft History

This North American B-25 cockpit section is unique in that it was once owned by Paul Mantz and Frank Tallman of Tallmantz Productions, an aviation film company famous for it’s work in Hollywood, and later owned by Art Scholl, a famous aerobatic pilot.

The cockpit has been modified with removable panels in order to accommodate the large cameras of the time. Note the crawl-through under the pilot’s seats to access the bombardier’s compartment and the Norden Bombsite in the very front.

This is a newly acquired display and research is still underway to determine all the films and TV Shows this artifact has been featured in.
